Understandably, the cost of childcare can put many parents and carer off choosing it as an option. But there are a range of Government schemes open to parents that can make childcare  affordable and we will do everything we can to help you understand the choices and access the funding that you might be eligible for.

Tax-Free Childcare  – For working families earning under £100k and at least £131 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage) each who aren’t receiving Tax Credits, Universal Credit or childcare vouchers.

15 hours and 30 hours Funded Childcare  – For many working parents of 2 year olds, and 3 – 4 year olds for 38 weeks each year.

All 3 & 4 year old children are eligible for 15 hours of funding per week, from the term after they are 3. There are also 30 hours of funding available for some eligible children. Further information can be found on https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare

Funding is also available for some 2 year old children from the term after they are 2.  Visit https://www.torbay.gov.uk/childcare2yo  to find out if you qualify.

Government funding can be used for any combination of hours, to accommodate early starts or late finishes.
