Small children pick coughs, colds, tummy upsets and viruses up very quickly, some more than others. To

try to keep these to a minimum we ask that parents do the following:

    • If your child has an upset tummy, either sickness or diarrhoea, they MUST remain at home until they have been clear for 48 hours, bugs pass quickly amongst small children.
    • If your child has been prescribed antibiotics for a contagious infection such as, conjunctivitis, tonsillitis, Impetigo, hand foot and mouth or slapped cheek etc, please keep your child at home until they have completed 48 hours of the antibiotic and the condition is greatly improved.  Seek the advice of your doctor if you are unsure as to whether the infection is contagious.
    • If your child is absent from Pre-School due to a disease such as chicken pox, measles, rubella, slapped cheek, hand foot and mouth etc. It is imperative that you inform the Pre-School as soon as possible so that we can let the other parents know.
    • Please do not send your child to pre-school if they have required Calpol or similar prior to coming in, medicines such as these, can mask temperatures or other ailments.
