Designated Committee Safeguarding Person - Annika Palmer

Marie is a former employee and parent who became the Chair of the Committee in September 2019.  Marie liaises closely with the preschool manager, meeting regularly and undertaking the manager’s supervision and appraisal. 

The manager and deputy manager oversee the running of the preschool on a daily basis whilst the preschool committee oversees the governance and management of the preschool.  Both parties liaise together regarding salaries, opening hours, term dates, purchase of resources, staff welfare and training needs.  

The committee comprises of both present and former parents, members of the local community and staff. They meet together once a term to discuss any items brought to their attention by the preschool management team, fundraising, review policies and procedures and to be informed of any updates to legislation. 

Parents/carers are informed in good time of the date of the meetings
