Small children pick up coughs, colds, tummy upsets and viruses very quickly, some children are more vulnerable than others. To try to keep the spread of infections to a minimum we ask that parents do the following:

  • If your child has an upset tummy, either sickness or diarrhoea, please keep them at home until they have been clear for 48 hours.
  • If your child has been prescribed antibiotics for a contagious infection such as, conjunctivitis, tonsillitis, Impetigo etc, please keep your child at home until they have completed the course of tablets.  Seek the advice of your doctor if you are unsure as to whether the infection is contagious.
  • If your child is absent from preschool due to a disease such as chicken pox, measles, rubella, slapped cheek etc. It is very important that you inform the preschool as soon as possible so that we can let the other parents know.
