Our beautiful 4 year old son Reggie has Autism and severe learning difficulties. He is an extremely vulnerable and challenging child which in turn makes us naturally over protective and anxious parents. From the initial viewing we felt fully supported and well guided the supportive and caring nature of the whole team from the get go instantly put our worries and fears at rest. Upon arrival in the morning the buzz and smiles on all the little childrens faces is so beautiful to witness. When the door opens the magic and warmth exudes the little ones running in barely saying goodbye to the parents show just how happy and excited they all are to be there. A humbling sight. Within Reggie's attendance over the past 2 years at Holy Angels they have professionally and attentively executed all his needs going above and beyond to make him feel secure and be included. This has been delivered by the outstanding dedication and unwavering commitment from Angie, Dahra and the team as a whole. Angie Baldwin has undoubtedly been our main source of invaluable advice as concerned parents and offered endless moral support over the past years. She has been instrumental in providing external help and support by gaining referrals to health services and professionals whilst also ensuring our son has an EHCP in place in time in September for his primary transition into a specialist provision. This has included emails and personal messages out of hours and even weekends and weekend evenings from Angie when we've sought her help and advice urgently, last minute meetings and near impossible deadlines met with ease and an air of grace. Angie is widely talked about and viewed by parents of children who attend the setting as a true pillar of the local community. She provides a mini food bank for the parents making sure no family goes hungry which has been greatly appreciated and a lifeline for many parents enduring the recent tough economic climate. During Covid she even offered to personally deliver food items for free. The love and care she portrays shows no boundaries. A truly remarkable person. Reggie's key worker Dahra has been a wonderful mentor and has made a huge positive impact on him, they share an incredible inseparable bond. We are confident this is due to her caring, patient and selfless nature and a kindness we will never forget. We hope that when the chance arises for Dahra to progress in her career she has the confidence to take the next step. She displays great leadership and management qualities and has extensive and fantastic knowledge for someone of such a young age. The whole team have been an inspiration to us, every staff member has played a vital role in making sure that Reggie has had the best possible support to thrive and be happy. We could not ask for a more considerate and inclusive environment for our disabled child to attend. Holy Angels has put Reggie on the best possible path for his future. Their contribution has made a massive difference to Reggie's life and wellbeing and we are under no doubt that without their excellence and professionalism we would be in a much different situation. We cannot convey into words that truly reflect our admiration and gratitude to all of the wonderful staff at Holy Angels. We veiw them all as an extension of our family and hold them close to our hearts, The worst part of Holy Angels is the part where we have to say goodbye , it always makes us sad knowing this inevability is drawing nearer but happy in the knowledge that their enthusiasm and dedication will help others of less fortunate children produce more success stories and miracles like ours. Our whole family would thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and feel eternally indebted to you for all the hard work and positive contribution you've made in Reggie's early life. Forever grateful Mr & Mrs Hayman.
